This tutorial will cover the COUNT function of Excel. This function can be used to
count the number of cells, within the specified range, that contain numbers. This
function can accept upto 255 arguments. Each argument can be a range or any value.
Consider the example of data in following sheet:
If you want to know that how many of employees have correct (numeric) data in Age. You can use the following formula to know that
=COUNT(B2:B6)
On the same lines, you can figure the correct data in salary column, you can use the formula
=COUNT(C2:C6)
If you wish to know the total of both the above, you can also use the formula
=COUNT(B2:B6,C2:C6)
or
=COUNT(B2:C6)
